An agreement in principle, also referred to as an AIP, is a document that a lender issues to show their willingness to lend to you, subject to your provision of supporting documentation that demonstrates your income and ability to afford a mortgage in Swanland.
Securing an AIP is an essential step in the mortgage process. It can enable you to make an offer on a property and even negotiate prices with the seller. If two potential buyers express interest in a property and one has an AIP while the other does not, the seller is more likely to opt for the buyer with an AIP as they have already been approved in principle, making the process quicker.
AIPs are usually valid for 30-90 days and can be renewed once they expire. To obtain an AIP, you can speak with one of our mortgage advisors in Swanland, who will be happy to assist you.
